We want to thank all of you for continuing to stick with us right now. Your continued loyalty and support inspires us, and frankly keeps us going through all the uncertainty and hardship. We want nothing more than to continue to work with you, to serve you, and to continue to walk this journey we call life alongside you. We are intensely grateful to have such wonderful people in our lives, and for your generosity and support via your patronage, through the gofundme (which really saved us those first two months of lockdown), and even just your kind words and sympathy. We won’t mislead you into thinking that we’re not struggling, we are, but with yoga studios across the country closing, including friends of Liberation, we consider ourselves very lucky indeed to have you with us. We fully intend to continue to do what we can in this very dark hour, and while we’re forced to change what our offerings look like, we are proud to still be here with you.
You don’t need us to tell you that this is a difficult and unprecedented time. COVID-19 remains a genuine threat to the health of our community, one that must be taken seriously. It’s sad that we feel the need to clarify this, but in light of our age of misinformation we want to be clear: Liberation looks to medical professionals for guidance on medical matters, and we will continue to remain compliant with federal and state regulations, regardless of how it inconveniences us or threatens our livelihood. We are acutely aware of our ethical responsibility to you, our loyal and patient community, as well as to our team. We would rather close forever than put you in danger. At the same time, we’re proud of our response thus far, and believe that the extensive steps we’ve taken acceptably mitigate the risks for the services we can offer.
We are currently unable to offer in-studio yoga classes, and it may be some time even after “reopening” before we’ll be able to offer the robust schedule and prices you’re used to. We will continue to offer online classes throughout this time, and probably even after we resume normal operations. Given the reality of the change to our business, we will no longer be able to offer discounts or bulk packages for in-person yoga and massage services. If you had a package remaining from before the shutdown, we have already converted it to an account balance reflecting the dollar amount left on the package which you can apply to our new pricing. It’s not ideal, but you don’t lose any of the money you’ve already spent.
